It's a great spot if you're taking an early Eurostar. Just 10 minutes from the station and close to tons of restaurants. The room was huge for Paris, a nice surprise! Super polite receptionist and overall nice vibe 😄

Ope, I was really surprised with our stay! The room was clean and comfy, and those staff folks were super nice. Felt safe in the area, and having the Metro right there made exploring easy. Only bummer was the shower-water temps went a bit wonky on me. Still, I'd stay again for sure!

It was convenient to the train station catch an early morning train.
The rooms could do with a renovation, the furnishings are a bit outdated.

Hotel was clean and breakfast was good.Great location - convenient for sightseeing and Gare du Nord.
Rooms are very small - but that's Paris! Air-conditioning would have been nice although we did have a fan which helped. Also, my request for a quiet room was totally ignored!

Functional hotel with accommodating employees on the check-out Great and excellent location to a railway station walk from the venue. Situated in a good area.

I almost thought this place woudl be decent, but the shower was practically a game of hot potato, and fluffier towels defintely would have made a difference. It's shocking that a hotel just assumes you don't need nice little freebie extras like water in the room. So disappointed, this hotel did not live up to my delusions of grandeur.

This is an older Paris hotel farther away from the traditional sight seeing attractions, but very conveniantly located from the Metro, rer, and sncf rail lines. Directly across the street from the Gare du l Est train station, it is a piece of cake to go anywhere is Paris. Not much for restaurants except if you like Greek food. A very good value for your Euro. Had a single room which was small, but not overly tiny. Very good room service with clean sheets and lots of fresh towels each day. Had a good stay all eight days I was there. [email protected]
The neighborhood is more local than tourist resulting in few if any fancy "American" restaurants or name brand hotels. Don't know if I would want to be walking around the streets at midnight, but never had or saw any problems on the streets. Probably a perception rather than a fact.

The Metro station and buses are very close. So is the next metro station that connects rer to the airport.
The bathroom door didn't close (room 33). τhe wallpapers were sticked with staplers (room 23). The sheets were changed only twice in six days (both rooms). One guy at the reception (the bald with the mustache that other people also mention) tried lot of times to persuade us to have meal at Tour Eiffel or use Bateux Bus or visit Crazy Horse Cabaret just in order to give us some hotel coupons. He finally became annoying.

The service was friendly at every interaction.
I struggled with thin walls that allowed too much noise from other guests. One night, the sound of a crying child next door made it impossible to sleep. While the room was clean, it lacked air conditioning, leaving me to deal with street noise and police sirens when windows were opened.

It's really great that it's so close to the train station (Garde l'Est). It's clean, and you have a private room and shower, so it's nicer and more private than staying at a hostel.
It's basically one step up from a hostel. Which is okay, but I think it's a bit expensive for that. If I were to do it again, I'd have either spent ~$50 more per night and stayed at the Holiday in or Ibis across the street or I'd save a bunch of money by staying at a hostel, and also get to meet fellow travelers (and shower with them!). Also, their wifi was pretty spotty.
